The truth is, the old-fashioned "state-pays-for-everything" public school has disappeared in California.
Community members help fund enrichment education through parent-run PTAs; our school is no exception. The PTA is dedicated to raising funds ALL YEAR LONG with annual fundraisers and ongoing donation drives. Poinsettia's Biggest Fundraisers
1. annual panther pride fundraiser
This is one of our biggest annual fundraisers and kicks off at the start of the year as we build our budget. We suggest $200 per student, but any amount is appreciated and tax deductible.
2. Corporate Matching
Maximize your donation by checking if your employer participates in a matching gift program. Many companies will match your donation at no cost to you! Plus, your donation is tax deductible! 3. Jog-A-Thon
Our most significant and exciting fundraiser of the year! Each Spring, Poinsettia students raise money through pledges for a Jog-A-Thon. This event is a no-pressure, no-sales fundraising event that is fun for students and an excellent opportunity for extended family and friends to sponsor our students.
4. Spring Auction
This fundraiser takes place in the Spring. Poinsettia PTA puts on a Parents Night to raise funds, build community, and have fun! Funding from this event highly benefits our programs. More details to come later in the year.
5. Shop to Support
No brainer way to raise money! These participating businesses automatically contribute a percentage of your purchase to our school.
Box Tops: Every Box Top collected brings in $.10. No more clipping - just scan your receipt OR turn in clippings to the school office.
AmazonSmile: Begin your order through Smile.Amazon.com and set Poinsettia Elementary as your charity of choice. Amazon will give 5% of all eligible sales back to the school.
6. Spirit Wear
Show your Poinsettia pride with custom apparel designs. There will be several days throughout the school year to wear. Every purchase will give back a portion to the PTA to support our programs and teachers.
7. Dine-Out Events
Take a night off from cooking and earn money for school. A portion of all sales comes back to Poinsettia. There will be several Dine Out events communicated throughout the year.
